easy like sunday morning
WHAT IS A SUNDAY HAUS?
In 1846, a small German farming community found its way deep into the heart of Texas.
These families would work the fields during the week and spend their weekends in the village with their community —drinking, dancing, and resting for the next cycle of work. Not wanting to venture home before church on Sunday, the people of Fredericksburg built a series of Sunday Houses: spaces where they could stay in town before making their way back home to the countryside.
You can only find Sunday Houses in Fredericksburg, Texas.
Today, these beautiful historical homes continue to offer a place of rest for those needing a break from the daily grind. Fredericksburg is a hill country escape known for its vineyards, local shops, and rich German history.
We're confident that, come Sunday, you'll be rested up for the journey back home.
